Maison Flottante
= 2 Springboard Residences
= Arts & Crafts & Design
The cneai =, based in Île-de-France, also has a floating workshop and residence, La Maison Flottante, moored on the banks of the Seine in Poses, Normandy. La Maison Flottante encourages mobility and residence both within and outside urban centers, through a decentralized movement and an adventurous dynamic.
La Maison Flottante, a flat-bottomed boat created by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, is a space dedicated to exploration and artistic creation located in an exceptional natural environment, in the heart of a region focused on the arts and crafts. It thus offers a setting conducive to reflection and creation. During this springboard residency, the designer and/or artisan will benefit from time for research and creation in a rural area that encourages reflection and local exchanges.
Art & Design Residencies
For the third consecutive year, the cneai = is opening its call for applications to artisans and designers. In June or September 2026, two professionals will be welcomed for a one-month springboard residency at the Maison Flottante.

A residency in the heart of the arts and crafts region
The selection jury is composed of: Florise Garac, Deputy Mayor for Culture of the City of Poses, Clémence Plassart, Heritage Manager for the Seine-Eure Urban Community, Raphaëlle Jarry, Culture Project Manager for the Department of Eure, Elise Quantin, Regional Relations Manager for the Institut pour les Savoir-Faire Français, and the cneai team, consisting of Charlotte Breton and Daria Gnachenko, Communications and Coordination Managers, Bastien Sbuttoni, Administrator, and Ann Stouvenel, Director.
Poses is located in the heart of the Seine-Eure region, which for centuries has been a fertile ground for the expression of exceptional craftsmanship. Today, hundreds of artisans live and work there in the largest luxury houses, which export worldwide and contribute to our country’s reputation. There was a strong desire to continue and further invigorate this wonderful story. That is why, in this fertile land of Normandy, between Paris and Deauville, the Seine-Eure urban community is developing a powerful synergy between arts and crafts and luxury with the creation of the “La Fabrique des Métiers d’Art” brand.
