Nour Awada was born in 1985 in Beirut. She lives and works in Paris and Aubervilliers (FR).

A graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Paris in 2012, she is a member of the Degré 7 artists’ collective and founder of LAP, the first research laboratory dedicated exclusively to performative creation, which to date brings together nearly 80 artist-researchers-plasticians, architects, poets, directors, actors, scientists, dancers and others. The LAP has been welcomed at the Carreau du Temple, has been in residency at the Mains d’Oeuvres art centre until the end of 2019, at the Générateur and is currently in residency at the CAC La Traverse in Alfortfville.


She is also the founder of Borders, a creative residency in Khiam (Lebanon), and co-founder of [Re]production, a research project initiated with Emilie McDermott that examines, among other things, the maternity/creation/career triangle. Nour Awada’s work has been presented at the Crédac, Lafayette Anticipations, the Générateur, etc.
