Micromégas is an initiative for a cross-residency program involving the next generation of media artists in France and Hong Kong in 2021 and 2022. Théodora Barat has been in residence in Hong Kong since February 5, 2021, until April 5, 2021.

On Friday, April 2, to conclude her residency, Théodora Barat presents the development of her research during an open studio event accompanied by a guided tour at the V54 artist residency space.

The Micromégas program will bring a French artist to Hong Kong and a Hong Kong artist to France for an eight-week residency to create a media art piece inspired by the city and local culture under the theme of globalization. This residency is part of a new exchange program between France and Hong Kong. The first edition takes place in Hong Kong in 2021, supported by the French Institute and co-organized by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macao, K11 Art Foundation, Videotage, and cneai =.
